Challenge: Writing strong performance reviews is a key career skill that helps employees highlight their achievements, demonstrate value, and advocate for growth. Reviews are most effective when they include measurable results and align with team or company goals. The Career Growth Tracker supports this by helping employees log accomplishments in real time—capturing priority, size, deliverables, and impact—making it easier to write clear, confident, results-focused reviews.
Solution: I designed a storyboard for a 30-minute eLearning course that emphasizes the value of performance evaluations and teaches employees how to write impactful, growth-oriented review statements. The course introduces the Career Growth Tracker, an Excel-based tool for organizing tasks and accomplishments, and a job aid to help users translate tracker entries into strong performance statements.
IDOL Academy Purpose: This storyboard is the final design deliverable for the Merrill’s Pebble-in-the-Pond project (Design Workbook, Course Blueprint). It demonstrates my ability to:
Translate a course blueprint into a slide-by-slide learning experience using industry-standard structure and flow
Design engaging eLearning content using real-world characters, scenarios, drag-and-drop activities, and text-entry responses
Align visuals, text, narration, and interaction elements to support adult learners in workplace settings
Prepare development-ready content for a tool like Articulate Storyline, showing your skill in both design and production planning
Integrate clear learning objectives, practice activities, and job aids into a cohesive learner journey
